Donna Rodriguez is a web manager of Web and Mobile Solutions (WMS) in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Connected Care Office within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) where she currently manages the Connected Care internal (SharePoint) and external (Drupal) websites. In January 2013, Donna began learning Drupal 7 and in May 2013 launched the first Drupal Internet site in VA, mobile.va.gov. Prior to that, Donna was responsible for development from conception to production of VHA Support Service Center’s (VSSC) highly complex website environment to support data management and training for 600+ business intelligence products and 15 National VHA Program Office SharePoint sites. Donna has been working with SharePoint since version 2001 and has authored hands-on curriculum and trained and mentored individuals throughout the VHA system. Donna has been migrating portals from version 2001 to 2003; 2003 to 2007; 2007 to 2010; 2010 to 2013; and recently migrated to SharePoint Online. Donna has been developing websites since the mid-90s and since 1999 for the VA.
She was originally hired as a Compliance Officer at the U.S. Department of Labor in 1995 through a Honors Scholar Program. Prior to federal service she worked as a software implementation and training specialist for a Nationwide Election Information Management System and for Memorex Telex and NYNEX Business Center in software development and engineering. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), and a BS (CUM LAUDE) degree in Business Management from Meredith College, Raleigh, NC.
